Safety and Risk Management
The Scouts aim to provide opportunities for young people and adult volunteers to develop and appreciate what risk is and how it is managed. This vital skill for life is developed by providing opportunities to learn and experience activities that are adventurous but where risk is controlled and managed as far as is reasonably practicable.
Paccar Scout Camps Risk Assessments which are available below cover the activities on offer at Paccar Scout Camp and should be supplemented by your own risk assessment. You will also notice that activities such as Pioneering have a very basic risk assessment, this is just to form a basis to write your own based on the structure you are building.
If you have any questions about safety or risk assessment please contact us.
**We are aware that some of these links are currently taking you to old versions of these risk assessments. Please use these as a guide only. If you require the up to date version, please email the office whilst we work to rectify this problem, Thanks**

Safe Activities & Experiences
Paccar Scout Camp holds the safety of our visitors as its number one priority.
Our activity instructors are all trained and assessed by National or European Governing Body trainers, ensuring they are trained to the highest possible standard for the activities they are delivering.
Away from the activities our staff monitor the site itself for damage caused both deliberately and by general wear and tear to ensure that the high standards you expect when visiting us are maintained. Of course if you were to spot somthing which has become damaged and could pose a risk whilst with us please make sure this is reported to the site office at the earliest opportunity.
